I, She, Me...

If I told you I was scared would u believe me? Probably not cause you could never see me. What if I told you I didn’t know me? I only knew of the girl that use to be She use to smile with grace and dance with praise Now she sit and gaze like what happened She doesn’t even know herself; to scared to except her past She ask herself what happened why her happiness didn’t last What happened to her? Well this little girl was mistreated and this is what is left What’s left of her? No one interfered; they just toke a seat No one heard the little girl that lied full of cries No one could hear they couldn’t see The little girl that lied and touched between her thighs inappropriately They only saw her smile hiding the pain of what she felt It wasn't visible but it was there No one asked her she got no help No one took the time to see her And soon after she couldn’t see her either Left in that house with one who couldn’t see nearly blind watching after she? Because they believed with family she was safe but family hurts to She wanted to speak she wanted to tell but didn't know how Just to young and couldn’t understand what was going on all around Instead she held it inside held back from a love so strong A bond between loved ones a whole nother tone She was taught that family could never go wrong family was important Family was love as long as family is together they are strong Family was there to help to hold you hold you through it all But some, some held to long some family held wrong Some held too strong and that’s when the little girl I once knew was gone. She was tricked and deceived from a person who she believed loved her Her personal value it was gone it was hurt it was drawn She was to little to comprehend but she knew her trust was broken She sat in the mist she grew and got over it In the house were no one could see but the blind She learned, she forgave, she became new She forgave those of whom she not only trusted but also loved I was now free; I no longer thought nor spoke of what happened to me I only see happiness for I am now blind I don’t see nor believe the past I have forgotten But really have I forgot no I’ve only just misplaced The thoughts of my past, which truly haven’t escaped In my mind they still last Even though I secretly hurt I still smile Like a mask on my face When I see him I forgive I still love him despite his mistake I say hello face to face as if I didn’t know That man my cousin my friend My hurt…. He’s all were it began...
