I Should Have Known

When he never said hi to me after school

and i was the first to call

I should have known.

When he loved him more than anyone he ever had

I should have known.

When she was diagnosed and everyone cried

and then she said she wanted to die...

I should have known.

When everything blew up in my face

And they all disappeared

And no one was there to catch me

Because all they had left me were tears

And the note you write in your last moments,

Blood running down your face

And no one saw when I left

I should have known.
