I shouldn’t

I let my guard down,
when I knew I shouldn't have.
I trusted you,
when I knew I shouldn't.
I let myself fall in love,
when I knew I shouldn't.
I broke the rules for you,
when I knew I shouldn't.
I still miss you,
when I know I shouldn't.
I still want you,
when I know I shouldn't.
I still love you,
even though it's tearing me apart.
