I Sing but They Can’t Hear

I sing America from the top of lungs.

My melodious voice, my proud words,

My endearing heart, my patriotic soul.

Though no one seems to hear my singing.

They are just looking at me with judgmental eyes,

Curious to see my next move.

I sing and sing from day to night.

Everyone turns their head as if I am an outsider.

No matter how large the gesture I make

To make myself be heard,

Everyone has their ears closed towards me.

Leaving me alone till my voice is gone.
