I, The Snake

A longing in wanting to go

Wanting to go back

Feelings were strong and radiant

But came in two's

Couples of hugs and hisses

The bigger I fly

The lower I fall

And I want to

Fall

Fall

Fall

My hair to fall

On my shoulders

On the floor

A fear of being sick

A sickening fear

Am I delusional

To reject the antidote

For these bloody scars

The fangs of my own

Have slithered into my veins

Over and over

Around and around

Only to find I've changed my mind

I start again

Again and again

A snake is a snake

I'm crawling out of my skins

Once more and more

I'm deaf to my own rattle
