I is spiritual
I am powerful
Yet a whole mouth full
I am everything they said I wouldn’t be
Yet my soul is still not free
I take a new step everyday
Yet the hate sometimes clouds my way
This world is where I belong
Yet I never knew I had to be this strong
I am a human
Although people call me a girl, I am a woman
I am sensitive
They tell me don’t cry, but sometimes I get defensive
I am compassionate
Even though I have my own issues with abandonment
I am devoted
They try to distract me, but I am focused
I am not evil
I sometimes yell but I am very peaceful
I am not rude
Sometimes my words get misconstrued
I am not selfish
All I do is care about others wellness
I am not angry
I am filled with love, but sometimes I wake up cranky
I am growing
I use to be depressed, but the new happy me is showing
I use to be insecure
I started loving myself and that was the cure
I use to be bad
The village taught me not to be, for them I am glad
The old me didn’t die
I still have those memories, but the new me is now alive.
