I Still Love Elmo

I am a boy; a boy who likes things that move…move fast.

When I was little I liked Elmo cause he was loud and shook fast.

When I was a little bigger, I really liked bikes. I liked them more when they were moving fast…I liked them most when I was riding them on paths with jumps…and they shook.

Now I am bigger than a boy.

Couple of smashed bicycles, few traffic tickets, and more than a few warnings…

I became a man who takes my time.

I still like Elmo, but I like him more when he is still and quiet.

I almost never ride my bike.

If I do, I don’t usually go too fast.

I spend more time working on my car.

I still like to work fast.
