I stuck with you

I stuck with you because you make me feel safe,

For that hug of yours feels like home

Where I will never be alone.

I stuck with you because we could always have a heart to heart talk

And we would never keep secrets from each other

I can look you in the eye to tell if you are listening.

I stuck with you because we get along.

I stuck with you because we can work through tough times rather than give up easily

I stuck with you because you make me feel like your equal,

Rather than inferior

And you protect my heart that is interior

I stuck with you because you remember the little things

And help me spread my wings,

For you have never made my heart sting.

I stuck with you… Because I love you.
