I Surrender

You let me go Saying that I'm crazy But you don't know that I see Those fingers that string me along You almost had me there I believed myself to be a doll Until I've managed to open my eyes Shattering the delusion When I saw you, the real you And your other hand I was freed from my doom Of not seeing the nothing that you felt It was your obsession of being in control Now that I am free, I will return the favor I will free you from the shackles Weighing down those dexterous hands That marionetted my thoughts And enslaved my heart. You kept me at a distance I couldn't see past your guise To unveil your true form So I surrender I'll let you go and not look back I will fulfill your prophecy And put an end to the story Of how your last doll left I won't fall for you again. Not for your charm Not for your antics Rest your mind I surrender - Jomur Islam
