I Swear Fealty To You

Because I love you,

I trust in you.

I vow to protect your every need,

And take a stand for your beliefs.

My life is not my own,

Now that I have you to hold.

In your sickness and in your health.

I would abandon all my wealth,

Just to keep you by my side,

Because I need you in my life.

My patience with you endures,

My respect for you swells even more;

Respecting you for who you are,

Seeing as you have trusted me this far.

I treat your needs as my own,

Knowing that you call me home.

And when the emotions fade away,

I will love you all the same,

Because that’s what love is all about

And I can’t do this without

You.
