I Thank You All (Even My Enemies)

I thank you all, even my enemies.
What a crazy thing to say.
I thank you all, even my enemies.
You've made me who I am today.

If I never was hurt whether it be by heart or by fist,
I would not have probably ended up like this.
If I didn't cry myself to sleep every day of the week,
I would not have found my own beat.

I thank you all, even my enemies.
What a crazy thing to say.
I thank you all, even my enemies.
You've made me who I am today.

If I never was laughed at by those who said "friend",
I would have had nothing to pen.
If I didn't say what I needed to say every single day,
I would not have found my own little way.

I thank you all, even my enemies.
What a crazy thing to say.
I thank you all, even my enemies.
You've made me who I am today.

If I never was taught by a loving hand that's no man,
I would not have learned that a mother can be more than.
If I didn't fight the tides of water that kicks and shoves
I would not have found something that is called love.

The rythm from my vocal cords,
They strike a cord:

"I thank you all, even my enemies.
What a crazy thing to say.
I thank you all, even my enemies.
You've made me who I am today."
