I, They, We
Realization sinks in only when gazing in your eyes
Awry reds fade as you hold my weight on your back
Light shines as your smile seamlessly spreads
Sands cushioning the newborn sent from the dead
Sleeping in your arms, we become invincible to the worlds deafening grips
Glazed glass frames from your works produce imaginable fields
With the moon in the dark, only you could shine the way
Day dreaming at the clock, I lose sense of my grip
Years pass until I look up and in terror free fall to the pits
Guided endlessly through lakes and blaze, We've separated
What remains of any backbone only seems deteriorated
My mind, my soul, my body, three entities split by conformity
Like water, they follow the drains into the unknown
Oblivion seamlessly evaporates the nurture from the sun
My soles are bathed with blood as I sprint blinded in the rose garden
Thorns and wolves surround me as I fall in defeat
I face the creatures with exhaustion only to become the Alpha
Eyes glazed red, I blame the victory on what curiously formed me
Floods fall from the sky, only to continue the darkening gloom of hatred
An illusion of a blue pearl becomes identified only within the grey dimension
Everything whispered through waves is only a prophecy waiting to prove them wrong
We hold hands and build fortresses to block the truth
Our lies become covertly evident as we build the kingdom
The days are only endless without a light
I lay in the dark comforted by rocks as my only support
With the grounds quiet, I open a treasure long forgotten by the new species
A mind filled with memories offers the tale of a star lost by the sun
With one wish remaining, my senses ask for a reflection to solve my lost identity
A dim lamp lights a path ending with a rusted ladder
I climb through the sulfur and toxic air as my skin sheds
A monsoon continuously swings the ladder, but I persist to open my eyes and conquer
The end is reached and all that remains is an ancient engraving, "Jump"
I open my eyes after an eternity and look back at my journey in tears
With one jump remaining, I shut my eyes and free fall into the drains
Holding the treasure as my weapon and the dim light as a shield, they becomes I
Alone in purgatory, the clock continues to beat, thus denying the end
With a book of the tale, I flip pages to continue where they paused
Invisible ink seems to fill the book while the beginning hides a letter
Led by the dim light I barely am able to read the washed language
With hands together I begin to wish for insight
My eyes slowly open to a beach colored with glimmering sands and rosy skies
A feeble woman stands in the shore of time, exhausted from carrying a grey pearl
Staring in her eyes, I glimpse the sun and gravity
Softly I say, "Realization only sinks in when gazing in your eyes"
I sprint to the sun and cry in regret while the awry reds fade
Collapsed in the shore, my tears quench the drought
Holding only a spark in my arms, We are reunited
Though, it is too late
Flames engulf me as I radiate immense heat
A child on my back, I am told to never let go
I follow the faded footsteps of a star and sun until only wilderness exists
We turn back and look at the sky with wide eyes
We hold each other tight as I tell the tale of a great sun and it's star
A lump in my throat lives within my soul as a reminder
The waves engulf the shore that I stand on
Rubbing the sea water from my eyes, I awake in the darkness
Alone with regret, fear again reddens my eyes
Once again the clock beats while I ignore the hands
Walking away from the distraction, I softly say "Sorry"
Reunited with the wolves, my hands remain invisible
Constantly paired with the treasure, I only utter wishes
Wishes of an eraser to repair the invisible ink
