I Think I'm Attached to People I should 'Hate'

Imagine pulling your arm backward, and then pitching a poisoned dart, dropping and lead, angle perfected at red.

People anticipating the THWACK, peering at passionate spastic pupils sharp, pained and the apathetic act done in vain.

I see the arrogance behind your throw, I do not understand the purpose, so when the point pierces the board, the surface turns into pillow.

The sound on cork should've hurt, your intentions alone should've been enough to make me cry, however all I can do is see past your evil, what I do to myself instead, is lie.

I'm sympathetic toward your hatred, even when its venomous and aimed at me. I can't help but look past the poison because in your eyes I still see a part of who you used to me.

I love you, I miss you and I hope you're doing well
