i think i’m being punished, for i can receive love but i cannot return it

i think i’m being punished, for i can receive attention but i cannot give it

i think i’m being punished, for i can let you help me but i cannot help you

i think i’m being punished, for you can support me but i cannot support you

i think i’m being punished, for you are a garden but i am merely a rose

i think i’m being punished.
