I thought

I thought you loved me

I thought you held the sky

I thought everything happened for a reason

I thought going home with bruises from date night was normal

But Sarah doesn't get them from her boyfriend

Sarah gets flowers

Sarah tells me you're toxic

But you tell me you love me

You tell me you do this because you love me

Everyone says love shouldn't come with a contract

You shouldn't have to read the fine print

So, because I love myself I'm no longer letting you love me
