I Thought It'd Last Forever
Take what you will from this fleeting life,
for time stops for no one,
as soft breezes kiss the cheek of an infant,
and the gracious sweet aroma of a mother surrounds you.
It feels as forever.
A dreary day themed with cold air consumes you,
bundled tight,
the only friend around is the comfort of a thick coat.
Following in a line of students to the front of a cold school.
Will this monotony ever end?
Swallowed in a sea of flowing blue compiled of familiar faces,
it would have been heaven to be at the beach,
but either side of you is taken by the place of two blue robes and silly blue, square hats,
alas long awaited ceremony.
It seemed as forever.
A change that changes not only ones life but everyone around them,
your life is not over, it's begun.
A scary new world filled with unrelenting adults, rules, and regulations
you now have to follow.
What will happen?
