I thought we made it

Just about a month ago,

I would have sworn I loved you.

Just about a month ago,

I would be laughing

you would smile at me with  one of your precious smiles.

I would have sworn we made it,

through thick and thin.

I guess time changes too quickly

the spark blew out

and i got burned.

While you were set free

but i hope some part of you

remembers bits and pieces

of what we had.

I hope one day

someone treats you the same way you treated me.

So you can learn,

it hurts too well
