I Thought We Would Be Forever

The numbness is returning

I wake up every morning and the first thing that pops into my mind

Is you

Why are we so broken?

What happened to the moments of light that we shared?

What happened to the energy we belived could never die?

What happened to the home I created in you?

You look at me like I am a stranger to you

I can see you trying to force yourself to forget

The only person I want to talk about this pain to

Is you

I wish we could talk the way that we used to

The heaviness in my chest is becoming too much to bare

I have nobody but myself

I think we are closing our final chapter
