I took a Chance

Dear Chance,

You taught me to discover myself,

my character, my charm, my affectionate sides.

You taught me to trust myself,

my intuitions, my inklings, my 3 A.M. thoughts.

You taught me to accept myself,

my imperfections, my flaws, my tiger stripes.

You taught me to love myself,

your adoration, your awe, your cherished "baobei."

Forever and always,

Rita
