I took the L 6/30/16

If I could connect with another soul like mine, I would be truly be beyond my time. I met a love and we clicked real fine. We were cosmic energies in the galaxy, how our planets aligned. I thought we were living but we existed together. His love was foul like shit infused in leather. That green-eyed bastard was more than clever. Fucked with preachers, teachers and whoever. He had me blinded by my own image because he imitated my identity. He started to dress, speak and even eat like me.
All the while, honesty knew him not. I was the loyal one and soon became the love that he forgot. He forgot who was there when he had no one but his mom. He forgot who was there just to lay quietly in his arm. Soon he forgot who encouraged his destinies, who nourished his stomach and nurtured his soul; forgot the beauty in our love and moved on to this and that ho. He gave in to the gifts and lameness of those fake gems; then wanted me to just accept it and yet be for only him. For him, I did just that and he neglected his flower. He stopped watering me and I died in his care. Now I find myself gazing; often reflecting on the pain and wondering how or why he did it? To me, of all women, why did he betray his lady? My answer returned in the form of a swollen eyes, and a deep breath. I thank God that my heart still beats inside my chest. He taught me best. I'll never love another green eyed bastard again. I should have known he was trouble when we first began.
