I tried to embrace myself

I tried to embrace myself with happiness,
the long run had just started
since the day I decided to change
and lose the old me forever.

Waves come and go in the sea
so did I, I came and went
to truly find where I belong,
as I stand next to my bright future.

Everything far from us is unknown.
Future, universe, death, 
so I light a candle to mourn
the past memories I've known.

''Tell me more about your life.
I like being inspired.
You are such an openmind.''
I said to myself as it expired.

Everybody needs a cheer.
Either from family or peer.
I don't request any from others,
I like doing it for me.

From the wall behind my back,
was coming light far apart,
to separate the dark self from the bright
and create a path to make it an ally.
