I twirled in the downpour,

I twirled in the downpour,
In fragments I began to rip apart
My skin melted off
And let in the cool rain
The silver and red smeared lights on the pavement were nothing but memories of you and I
I thought the colours would bring me to life
To see the gold sunset and the pink sunrise
I wanted to twirl away until my bones left my fingers and toes
I let myself relax and melted into the gravel road
Hopefully you missed me this time
