I the Ugly Duckling
What shall a fairy tale say about me?
The difference can be seen with worn out eyes,
That in this classroom, I remain unique.
This ugly duckling has no great disguise.
My first grade teacher saw my blissful state.
As daydreams packed my melonin with hope.
She told me of my predetermined fate.
My skin's opression caused itself to moap.
I'm eightteen now, and mirrors make me ache.
Within myself, there's something left to find.
The journey in is such a tedious wait,
But thanks to that, this beauty here is mine.
Although I'm gifted now and worry free,
I've always had this vulnerabilty.
