I used to be a figure of defined identity
I was told by inner peace that I was beautiful and told by the mirror that I was look able.
I was told by my clothes that my body was amazing and told by my fatness that I wasn’t approachable.
I was told by my voice that I can speak up and told by my confidence that I didn’t have the courage to do it.
I was told by the sun that black is beautiful and told by the night fall that, that black isn’t so visible.
I was told by the mirror that today my pimples looked acceptable and told by the boys that I should invest in make-up.
I was told by family that, that dress looked good on me and told by the popular girls that my body wasn’t meant for it.
I was told by the boys from back home that my ass was cool and told by popular boys that if I shouldn’t be at school I should be at home feeding my men.
I was told by people that my smile lit up the room and told by my teeth that it bought frowns upon
I was told that my body was amazing because of my big thick thighs that I bought thunder into them when I walked on the streets and told by the pavements I walked upon that they caused destruction
I was told by my boyfriend that my boobs were amazing and that he didn’t mind sucking on them little did he know that it was just a flat chest with just two hills on them.
I was told that I had a walk of confidence and told by words that I was just a shattered piece of shit.
I was told by the year 2015 that I was going to die because I was weak and no one knew me or the pain I went through and told by the year 2016 that I was different and got the last laugh for my haters.
I was told by my friends that I was disgusting, fat and ugly little did they know that their hurtful comments made me stronger.
I was told that I was told that by society that I was the person that they had told me that I was, but told by my confidence that I was not the person that I was told that I was but the person they were afraid to tell me I was because they were scared that oneday and someday I wouldn’t need their 2 cents to build me up but by my 3 close friends that knew me way more than I knew myself and I.
I overcame the hurtful words and knives that were thrown to me, I had lived with the pain but now I live on the pain.
Thank you society.
You have built a person you will hate to see from now on.
All you need to know is that I’m back and I’m better.
