I Used to Think

I used to think that when it rained, God was crying. I used to think as long as I was his, he’d never stop trying. I used to believe in love at first sight. I used to think leaders in our world were always right. But those decisions became corrupt, That’s when the world became abrupt. When times got hard, with things I couldn’t handle, I took matters into my own hands. Were the scars enough to make me stop? No, so I continued until my life came to a halt. He was nowhere like the rest, sweet as he could be Came into my life a little unexpectedly, But he showed me the person, I was meant to be. My mother loves him and he’s all I could want now, I was once in the dark but I’m not anymore I’m someone who will make everyone I love proud. I’m stronger and wiser, My life is no longer on a ticking timer. I know my purpose, I know my role, I have my future set, somewhat like my goals. So I used to THINK that when it rained, God was crying. But now I KNOW it’s him teaching me a lesson to never stop trying. Sometimes I think God sent him to be as a blessing, He sent me an angel that will keep me progressing.
