I walk with my head held high

I may not be your conventional beauty

my hair far from straight

no bright smile to grace my face

all of my flaws sticking out like a sore thumb

and my conversations as interesting as a door knob.

But when I start walking,

my head is held up high

I know that I have porpuse.

A song plays in the background

and there's a pep in every step that I take.

It's like I'm leaving my insercurities behind

and no judgements can catch me
