I walked away from you

I walked away from you last night.

I closed the door and kept walking without looking back.

I let my hand swing to my side as the strokes of red passed behind my eyes.

I didn't want to leave.

I cried in your arms.

I let you go.

I can't have you let me go because I'd feel worthless.

I'd feel like another used person with the wishes gone

the ocean calling my name but the breeze blows back out and

the moon comes back up.

If you were the one to tell me to go

I would've felt broken.

I would've felt used.

I would've felt as though I meant nothing

as though the art dicipated all the belongings in my thoughts

Tonight.

I sit in silence

the cars brush the road

my heart aches

the door sits silently

my hands shake

what did I do wrong

It needed to be done.

Yet I'm aching.

I've heard rumors that I wasn't as special anymore

I've heard rumors that you didn't care

I've heard rumors that you were gonna do it

I've heard rumors that I needed to improve

my selfish little body

the one ached with scars

the one with tears imprinted into my back

the one where my eyes wouldn't open because I was afraid

afriad of seeing all the damage you could do to me.

I've ached

In that lonely corner of my mind

acting as though its a world

the colors escape and flow through tears

all that is left is my dark grey head

I'm lost.
