I Want To Be

I want to be a moon in the sky, and watch everyone go by. To watch over them like angels and to care for them like a cradle, but no, not me, I am just me. I want to be a super star who signs tons of autographs, but no, not me, because I am just me. I want to be a bird that flies in the sky way up so high I can touch the clouds, but no, not me, because I am just me. I want to be a necklace that is pretty and noticeable, and can be shown off to everyone and they will be jealous, but no, not me, because I am just me. I want to be a beautiful butterfly that flaps its wings with pride, but no, not me, because I am just me. I want to be that dream wedding band that everyone dreams of, the one that fits perfect on the left hand with disbelief, but no, not me, because I am just me. I want to be that rabbit that hops gracefully in the field, but no, not me, because I am just me. I want to be that trendsetter who has all the boys asking who that girl is, but no, not me, because I am just me. I want to be that person that everyone looks up to. The one who is known as being cool and a hero, but no, not me, because I am just me. I want to be me, and that I can be.
