I want to be #nonfiltered
I could be black and white by WILOW.
Or a vibant pair of lips by NASVILLE.
A sense of ease by SLUMBER or kneaded down by EARYBIRD.
But what can't be is me, I'm a filtered me that's appealing to the eyes of the hollowed.
I am hidden behind the judgemental six centimeter circular glass that parades me through your news feed.
Why do I lie to all these folowers? Twitter, Instagram, any social media.
In reality I know I'm just a figure.
I am pleased by touch of your finger as it taps your glass pannel.
This vocabulary isn't me, it's not what I use face to face.
These clothes, I'm drowning in your screen.
The make-up is to drastic even for home,
these red lips that are chromed.
I hate lies they're devious, so why do I still spoon feed them to you.
You and I are both doomed unless I tell you who I really am, a non-filtered me.
My self-esteem is trapped in a box with jugdes inside.
Listen to my thoughts as you see my face.
A tap for each photo.
Tap.
Tap-Tap.
Tap.
Tap-Tap.
Tap.
Tap-Tap.
Enough!
Your not listening.
My tears are glistening.
I can't tell you I am because you tapping is exasperating.
You follow me,
But...
Do YOU, really follow
ME.
