I want to be a teacher

I want to become a teacher, so I can make a change

They never understand, kids come in a range

Not just what clothes they wear, or how they do on tests

Teachers just don't understand what's in each and every desk

All kids have potential, it just needs to be tapped

They need guidance and inspiration, to put them on the map

I want to be that person, in just one kid's life

To get them through anything, every little strife

High school can be hard, teachers often forget

Things have changed since they were there, that you can bet

What goes down behind their backs can hurt

Some kids constantly feeling like dirt

I want to be the teacher, they all love and admire

That's my job, my goal, I want to inspire
