I Want Him to Know

My lover’s arms are strong and hold me tight,

Strong as rocks but gentle like the clouds.

His eyes are light, but he wears clothes dark as night.

Nice and sweet, but yet he’s so misproud.

What do I do when he feels so far away,

But he is holding me close in his arms?

He does things that make him go astray.

That should have been one of the red alarms.

His touch is just like electricity,

His lips are soft like insides of a rose.

His soul is black, he lost his sanity,

But he is bright, although it barely shows.

I never say it, though I love him so,

More than I think I want him to know.
