I Want to Jump
As I stand on this tall concrete
Looking down at all the ants
I want to jump
As I spread my wings, knowing I can’t fly
But still seeking the sky
I want to jump
As I suck in a breath to take that one fatal step
And let it all flash by me in a blur
I know I want to jump
As I feel your touch, pull me from behind
And your frightened eyes looked into mine
I no longer want to jump…
