I want obstacles
I’d like to lose an argument, so I can learn how to handle being wrong sometimes.
I’d like to lose my temper, so I can distinguish when is best to bite my tongue or fight for what I believe in.
I’d like to lose a friend, so I can then remember the importance of those still around me and appreciate them each day going forward.
I’d like to have an awful break up, so I can understand that life still goes on even when life gets hard.
I’d like to fail a test, so I never again cram studying in only the night before, making me more prepared and responsible for not only the next test, but with important decisions in life. Additionally, I’d like my pencil to break during a test to ensure I will never show up without a back-up again.
I’d like to not get a spot in a parking lot, so I can become a more timely person and arrive places earlier. I hope to be late for class to push myself to never again show disrespect to my teacher.
I’d like to spend every dollar of my money unnecessarily to show myself the true value of money once it’s all gone, which unfortunately, is probably the only way I’ll learn to stop going on shopping sprees.
I’d like to trip over myself in front of everyone, so I can remember to laugh at myself sometimes and not be too serious all of the time.
I’d like to get an awful haircut, so I can be appreciative of my hair once it grows back. I’d like to get lost somewhere, just so I never let myself gravitate too far again in this scary world.
I’d like for a teeny, tiny, small, microscopic tragedy to happen to my family, so I can be grateful for a family’s unconditional love towards each other.
I’d like for all of these scary, negative, and rough events to happen to me, so I can grow into someone I’m immensely proud of.
