I Wanted Lemonade

My life is a mess, dull, repetitive, cruel, a loop I can’t escape— it twists, it drags, it burns me through. They say, “When life gives lemons, make lemonade,” but in my world, lemons root themselves, and I grow a mango tree. Random, absurd, maybe funny from some other gaze— but to me, it’s hollow, a drain of hours, a weight of waking in this skin, this head, this cursed little home. I don’t want a mango tree. I want lemonade— sweet, simple, alive. Why can’t I sip a normal life without bitterness twisting in every corner?
