I was a hellionA troublemaker&

I was a hellion

A troublemaker

But that was okay

Because I was loved

I was loved by my mother

who cared so much

And loved by my father

who never gave up

I was loved by my mamaw

who was brutally honest

And loved by my papaw

who saw the best in me

I was loved by my teachers

who always believed

And loved by my friends

who trusted in me

I'm an honors student

A college professor's dream

I grew up rough

but I cleaned up neat

I've changed a lot

We all know it's true

Small town tomboy

Became nerd extrordinaire

I'm okay with that

I know my roots

And they're just as hick

As they are dirty blonde
