I Was I...

I used to smile at the stars.

I played in the twilight and slept til dawn.

The years went by with growing anticipation.

I expected more...

I guess I had wished for more.

I dreamed of endless days,

and I wished for eternity.

I was myself.

And now I am just a me.

A propoganda baby of the 21st Century.

I have pointless dreams and

wishes that give me only a brief moment of originality.

I am not what you call special...

I fall into formation like a foot soldier,

but oh, I do dream!

To be a me.
