I was just a little girl

I was just a little girl

Why wasn't I enough?

My heart shredded daily by your absence

Why wasn't I enough?

I was just a little girl

Trusting no one in my teens

Mom why wasn't I enough to help you stay clean

Why wasn't I enough?

Men always came first

No food in the pantry

My tears unanswered
