i was THAT kid

I. Was. That. Kid.

The one labled alone. Quiet.

Easy to get, but never understood.

i was THAT kid.

Swarmed with words seeped in hatred.

i was THAT kid.

Late nights surrounded in arguements afraid to speak up afraid I'd be called stupid.

i was THAT kid.

Lost in thought trying to envision a future of unstressed smiles. Relaxed walks.

i was THAT kid.

The kid who could never put a lid on their emotions, because they were too busy trying to please everyone.

i was THAT kid.

Walking away from problems that became too heavy. Too much to handle.

Faking laughter on jokes that weren't funny. "I never got it."

I WAS THAT KID.
