For I was once left

For I was once left alone in the center of the sea

All I had asked was to leave my Art with me.

Art that loves, that understands, that feels

My heart and soul

He who is there always to soothe and console.

He grows with me and understands my needs

We sleep and eat and play surrounded by the sea.

I sing the notes of the ocean waves

He listens and laughs in the light of the day.

We slumber side by side under the sky

The moon rises once again as we shut our eyes.
