I Was Raised by Places
I was raised by
Cowboys on bulls kicking
Antelope and bison gathering
Prairie dogs in the field running
“Plant a tator get a tator”
Old west history saying
Welcome to Cheyenne
Type of City.
Some snow shoveling
Green Bay football loving
Badger touchdooooown make you want to throw
your brot chanting
Welcome to Brown Deer
Kind of Place.
Some redneck talking
Fourwheelers reving
Rooollllltiiiiideeee and War Eaaglee belting
“Let’s go tear up this mud hole
and hunt some deer”
Welcome to Prattville
Sort of Town.
Some hipster chilling
Fresh mountain air smelling
Go Seahawks obsessing
Elephant ear munching
Space needle so high slowly spinning
Longboards and beanie wearing
“Look at how beautiful the mountains are”
Welcome to Puyallup
Type of City.
Some Cajuns crawfishing, frogging, fishing
Geaux Tigers and Who Dat announcing
Mardi Gras chicken chasing and parading
“Now y’all come back ya hear?”
Welcome to Cajun Country
Kind of life.
