I was told
When I was born I was told that I wasn't going to make it
I had a heart that was two size smaller than the average heart
My body and lungs was under developed
When I was six I was told that I was worthless,a waste of space
And when I was nine I was told that I was a blessing that helped them more than words can explain that because of me they found the help that they needed
When I was fourteen I was told that I was going to hell for the lifestyle I pick. That God wasn't going to love me for being gay
Now at the age of seventeen I was told a lot of things
From It's a phase
To Go clean your room
To Your going to make it just don't give up.
Now I'm here telling you consult not your fears but your hopes and dreams.
Think not abouts your frustration but about your unfulfilled potential.
accept the challenge so you can feel the exhilaration of victory.
I'm telling you that the people who influence you are the ones who believe in you that what you do today can improve your tomorrow .
I'm telling you think not about the past but about the future. That opportunities doesn't just happen, you create them.
I'm telling you that your present circumstances don't determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start
