I wasn't Ready to say Goodbye

I wasn't ready to say goodbye

There were nights where the lost felt too real

Tears flooded my eyes

there was a pressure on my chest

And a knot in my throat

I wasn't ready to say goodbye

But I saw your pain & knew it was for the best

Some days are okay

Some days, I can't find the strenghth to get out of the bed

I wasn't ready to say goodbye

Although it's strange to say

there are days where I forget you're gone

And I think, "How can I forget one of the most painful days?"

Just like that, a montage of memories

I'm brought back to reality

I wasn't ready to say goodbye

There were so many moments you should've been here to share

There were so many times your presence would've changed things

Trust me when I say every minute since-

Bittersweet

I wasn't ready to say goodbye

But you were ready to say "Hello"

A Heavenly light, Our creator & God

while it's easier to be selfish

I know it was never about me

Now, He keeps you safe in His embrace until the day-

I can be with you again
