I wasn't in Tonga
I wasn't in Tonga
Neither was I in Kiritimati,
But I was the first to see the dawn of the new year.
Heaven has passed me by a hundred times
And each time it passes
It drops a gift.
Yet another cross to bear, for another season.
I am a god; I am a weakling
Yesterday makes me stronger than today
And today makes me weaker than yesterday.
I have fallen a hundred times
But not for once did I break,
Look! These are the bruises.....
I am the sun that never shines
The rain that never falls
The boy that never grows...
Nightmare.
I am the plan that never works
The dream that never comes to past
The prayer that never gets answered.
False hope.
Girls likes to paint the portrait of boys like me,
But each time they paint,
They see nothing
Because I am the mirror that never reflects.
