I Watch

As you walk away, I watch

I think and remember the days where we played hopskotch

How can you let me go so easy

You said you cared more than most

and yet you hurt me so freely

I watch as you get used to me not being around

and I listen to see if your "happy voice" still has the same sound

We had plans that put everyone's to shame

and now those planned dates can be wiped away

This lesson taught me to keep myself a good distance from anything too close

Because even the people who say you're their everything

Will hurt you the most

I watch as the gleam in my eyes fade

More and more everyday

I feel my heart beating slowly

my eyes are always closing

I don't want to be awake

These tears are pouring

These kinds of demons, I cannot take

I watch as the lump of pills slides down my throat

They'll kick in soon, oh you feel it? It's starting to get cold

Lay on the bed and take some more Zzzquil

In about 5 mins, you won't be able to feel

I know you're scared to finally let go

But just let it happen, go with the flow

If you feel pain before relief,

grab that knife, and slice until you no longer feel dizzy

The jugular vein is where I'd recommend

To make your chances of dying a 10/10

But if you want to play with life less dangerously,

slit your wrist and try to count past 23

If you're not satisfied, look for other ways

I'll be here watching myself

Watching myself slowly fade away
