They were treated as animals...
They were seen as slaves... nothing... space...
They were called names that I choose not to say...
They fought ruthlessly to the end...
To make sure they were treated as equals...
Created parties that involved change for all...
Became revolutionary for their programs that stay today...
Today I watched the news...
Our people are still in jail for doing nothing wrong...
Even accused of things because of prejudice oppressors...
Stereotypes are used against us all the time...
Gnags killing our own kind...
All jealous of what the others have...
Tomorrow I will watch us rise against the hate...
Watch a lot more people of my race worship our ancestors...
See more children of our race know the past struggle...
Live the lives that we were wanted to live...
I want to watch our future become better than now and before...
