I Will

What they want us to be is simply that--what they want us to be.

But how can you take away all that I've put in to become me?

How can you tell me that my opinion doesnt matter?

How can you not care who's self esteem you shatter?

How can you tell me that the color of my skin defines me?

How can you tell me that I am not able to break society's chains that bind me?

I will be who God designed me to be.

I will speak on what matters most to me.

I will hold my head up with a self esteem that cannot be broken.

I will put to rest the racial stereotypes that have been spoken.

I will succeed in this "free" world we have today.

I will not be stopped by what man has to say.

I can, and I wil.
