I Will Always Take Care of You

The words "I'll always take care of you" echo in my head,

for my father said those words when I was born.

An eternal promise he made to always put my well-being first,

Unconditional love.

A bond stronger than that of any adhesive,

and a friendship stronger than any other.

Love fills the heart and memories fill the soul,

our Sunday breakfasts at the local diner, our chats after dinner, even the time you walked me through changing my tire on the phone,

all memories I will forever cherish.

My best friend, my source of wisdom, my story teller,

My father.
