"I will Never Let my Crown Fall"

You see,

Once upon a time

There was this bright brown girl

With dreams of  presenting her best to the world

But the task itself

would be like slaying a dragon

and she could only imagine

what exactly would be the elixir to find success.

Through an education and plan, passion and priority,

Our once princess, was crown QUEEN

But like all moments of triumph,

the dark past seem to pull the draw bridge of life

futher away,

No form of riches and gold

6 figure salary or humble praise

could stop society from forgetting to raise

the notion that their QUEEN

originated from

A single parent household

The poverty line

Abussive relationships

Rigid moments of Regret

Sad simple statistics that simply won't suffice

These very things

caused a kingdom

she loved

to

doubt if she had the means to present them the best.

When questioned

The bright brown queen replied,

"I will Never Let my Crown Fall"
