I will Overcome

The past will not define who I am
Because I am a conqueror who's future is not damned

To the damnation of failure because I will fight
To achieve what I set out to achieve, the goals that I have in sight

Obstacles that seem impossible because I am motivated
To see my hands held high within the outcome that I have created

Through sweat, tears, and sleepless nights
Only I know how much I am willing to fight

To finish the battle strong
The struggles seem to be great and long

But through determination my enemies will fall
Because I am more equipped to destroy them all

One by one their hearts will crumble
They will be left speechless, their lips will not even mumble

To my abilities that God himself had provided
To give me an advantage, so I can say that i am ready

To over come any challenge and trial that are on their way
To break my spirit, so I can be afraid

But fear itself will not consume my determination
For I am strong and they misinterpret my capabilities

Heart strong as metal, it may bend but it will not break
It will cause my mind and body to adapt to the abuses that they make

I do more than survive, I overcome and become greater
Than who I was when I started, but they'll find out later

That I won't give up easily because I know what I want to acquire
The things that seem impossible, forcing me to go through fire

It does not matter what they put in front of me
I will overcome them all and one day it will be behind me like a bad dream
