I Will Survive

Breathtaking. How inspiring!

To take the leap was fear-defying.

As gravity pulled and tugged at my soul,

I felt my innermost being made whole.

The gap that once was empty and lost

Had experienced fulfillment at a mere cost.

Upon completing the rope course through the trees,

I found that I could be wild, just like the leaves.

Now, years later, I still find myself

Dwelling on the richness and wealth

That I gained in the lessons taught by the trees.

Now I cling to the hope, and courage they bring.

By embracing the plunge and taking the leap

I purposed in my mind to every rival defeat.

Now, when encountered with a gut-wrenching fear,

I smile because I know victory is near.

All I must do is hold tight to my rope,

Close my eyes and with expectation hope,

That as I soar through the air, and dive through deep valleys,

I can let down my hair, and cast away all my worries;

For I WILL ALWAYS SURVIVE.
